Because blogs allow users to share postings and leave comments, as well as follow the blog to see future posts, it falls under the banner of social media. Your blog doesn't always have to be business related, but an industry related blog is bound to enable you to network with potential customers and clients as well as colleagues and peers, provided your posts are interesting and informative.

 

7. Post Events

Is your business or establishment planning on hosting an event and you want to get the word out? Social media is the new bulletin board. Post your event, and thousands will see it, and maybe even share it.

 

8. Share Other's Posts

If someone on Twitter or Facebook has left an interesting post, feel free to Like it and share it with others. The original poster will see this and appreciate it, and will be more likely to do the same for you, thusly increasing your potential to grow your network.
