Take Steps

Do you have things that need to get done? What is your plan this week? Well of course you have things to get done this week but do you have a plan to get them done? Well if you don't I hope that you find time to write down goals. It's important to write down goals each week. So take a moment to write a list of the 10 things you want to accomplish this week. (I'll give you a moment to get a piece of paper & pen)

...

Write out your goals this week. Laundry, Interview, Clean the Garage, Re-write a Resume, Networking or any task you need to accomplish this week. Write 10 for yourself, start with a whole number so you can get 2 accomplished per day this week. (Here's your moment to write the goals)

....

Good, now that you've written your goals down. Do you know which one to accomplish first? Do you have a ranking system to create efficiency in your goal accomplishment process? Well I can give you a suggestion, actually I can suggest someone elses suggestion. Stephen R. Covey, author of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People displayed this goal management system:

With your goals written down, take a moment to organize the goals into this box. This will allow you a better idea of what is most important this week. Start with goals in box 1 first then 2, 3 and 4. This gives you a chance to be up to date on your work, get ahead of approaching deadlines and not waste time on tasks that simply aren't important.

Now that you've freed up time by being efficient with your goals, take a stop over at www.ILostMyJob.com and find more ways to be successful. Time will not wait for you to re-use it well. You must take time for what it's worth and see it as a present. So jump over to ILMJ and check out what's cooking to help you be goal-driven.
