Dr. Rita Carey, director of RCM Associates, is a Career Management Consultant and Certified Professional Coach with over 20 years experience in Career Transition Coaching and Consulting. She has helped thousands of individuals find their preferred work and assisted them in navigating transitions with grace and ease.

Rita is known for her work with job seekers in their 40’s, 50’s 60’s plus. Her 40+ Career Management workshops are filled to capacity and her 40+ Webinars attract participants throughout the US and abroad. Rita contends (and the success of her clients supports this) that chronological age is not the barrier to successful reemployment. Rather, it is the stereotypical beliefs (the myths) about the more experienced worker that create barriers. In her webinars and workshops, Rita provides methods for eliminating those barriers.

Rita has managed career centers for General Electric, Pratt and Whitney, Walden Books and served as advisor to the PanAm and IBM transition centers in New York State. As director of FutureWorks Career Center in Massachusetts, she established and directed services for thousands of clients in job transition, earning an outstanding performance award from the National Alliance of Business. Her doctoral research studied the factors that influenced successful job transitions for 800 General Electric employees.

In her consulting practice, Rita assists clients with identifying the career and work environments that will influence their career success. Her practice includes clients who want to improve opportunities in their current organizations, clients who are considering a career change and those who have experienced unwanted job loss.
